ALBANY MAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR POSSESSING CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL FOLLOWING A MULTINATIONAL INVESTIGATION

District Attorney's Office HILLSBORO, Oregon- On May 7, 2026, Washington County Circuit Court Judge Janelle Wipper found Jose Manuel Escobar De Loera guilty of robbery in the first degree (two counts), robbery in the second degree (two counts), theft in the first degree (two counts), and theft in the second degree in a bench trial. Judge Wipper later sentenced the defendant to 135 months in prison. Deputy District Attorneys Carlos Catibayan and Nolan Hill prosecuted this case.   The defendant was part of a group that committed armed robberies of Asian-owned massage businesses in Tigard and Tualatin. On December 13, 2025, the defendant carried out coordinated and premeditated robberies at two Tigard massage businesses. After searching and mapping the businesses, he gained entry by posing as a customer. Bend man arrested after robbery, assaults

Bend Police Dept.   At approximately 9:28 a.m. on Monday, June 15, a Bend Police officer was flagged down at Royal Gateway Motel, 475 SE 3 rd St., by a person who had just been assaulted during an attempted robbery at Eco Laundry Mat, 407 SE 3 rd St. The victim was able to direct the officer to the suspect, who was still in the area. The officer located the suspect, covered in blood and later identified as 48-year-old Bend resident José Luis García Chávez. During the encounter with police at Royal Gateway Motel, a Taser was used as García Chávez was taken into custody.   At approximately 9:30 a.m. Bend Police received a separate call for a robbery at Ace Market, 449 SE 3 rd Street. U.S. Attorney's Office - District of Oregon   PORTLAND, Ore.—A Portland man was sentenced to federal prison today after striking an officer in the head with a large rock at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office in South Portland, announced U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford.   Robert Jacob Hoopes, 25, was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison and three years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay over $8,000 in restitution.   “Today’s message is clear – violence is not a protest. WARMS SPRINGS MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING TWO MINORS

U.S. Attorney's Office - District of Oregon PORTLAND, Ore.—A Warm Springs, Oregon, man was sentenced to federal prison yesterday for sexually abusing two minors at a sleepover, announced U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford.   Desmond Ray Florez, 34, was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison and 10 years of supervised release.   According to court documents, on April 13, 2025, Florez sexually abused two minors while they were at a sleepover at Florez’s residence on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. Investigators at the Warm Springs Police Department learned that Florez had also previously sexually abused one of the minor victims four years ago.   On July 1, 2025, a federal grand jury in Portland returned a two-count indictment charging Florez with sexual abuse of a minor and sexual abusive contact. PORTLAND AREA MAN CONVICTED IN THE MURDER OF A 17 YEAR OLD IN 2021

District Attorney's Office Portland, OR- Isaac Cortez Bynum Jr, currently 30-years-old,  was convicted today by a Multnomah County jury of Murder in the Second Degree with a Firearm and Unlawful Use of a Weapon for the murder of victim Seneca Alexander on August 24, 2021. Separately, the jury convicted Mr. Bynum of Unlawful Use of a Weapon for a shooting that occurred in Portland on August 11, 2021. Further, a judge convicted Mr. Bynum of two counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm for both incidents.    Additionally, Bynum Jr. was convicted in a separate shooting from August 11, 2021. WILSONVILLE MAN ARRESTED IN LURING CASE

Linn County Sheriff's Office Linn County Sheriff Michelle Duncan reports on May 28, 2026, Linn County Sheriff’s Office Detectives arrested Christopher Jay Webb, 34, of Wilsonville after an eight-month long sex abuse investigation.   The investigation revealed Webb used the Snapchat app to contact a 17-year-old female, from Sweet Home, who was unknown to him.  Knowing her age, he sent multiple images and videos of sexually explicit content of himself to the female.  He also solicited similar content from her.  During the investigation, investigators determined Webb used Snapchat to communicate with other juveniles for similar purposes.  In conversations with the juveniles, Webb indicated that he worked at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.    After executing search warrants for digital evidence and analyzing accounts and digital media, Webb was arrested and lodged at the Linn County Jail on one count of Luring a Minor. Man Sentenced to 35 Years in Marion County for Child Sexual Abuse

Marion Co. Dist. Attorney's Office   State of Oregon v. Daniel S. Bowdoin Marion County Circuit Court Case 24CR62772   Salem, OR – June 9, 2026 – Yesterday, Marion County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Hart sentenced Daniel Bowdoin, age 38, to 35 years in the Department of Corrections. Bowdoin pled guilty to two counts of Sodomy in the First Degree and one count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.   The case involved repeated sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old over a two-year period. The child was known and close with Bowdoin. Eventually, Bowdoin’s manipulation was no longer effective, and the child disclosed the abuse.    After the disclosure, Bowdoin admitted to some of what he had done by sending a confession letter to family and friends. However, he subsequently twice attempted to contact the victim.   Bowdoin was involved in the track and field community. JURY FINDS MAN GUILTY OF MURDERING STRANGER ON TRIMET BUS IN 2021

Multnomah Co. District Attorney's Office Portland, OR- A Multnomah County jury on June 8, 2026, found Wayne Conrad Thompson guilty of Murder in the Second Degree with a Firearm. In addition Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Kelly Skye found Mr. Thompson guilty of being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm with a Firearm.   Senior Deputy District Attorney Eric Zimmerman and Deputy District Attorney Branden Meadows prosecuted the case for the state. SHERIFF’S DETECTIVES ARREST LOWELL MAN FOR LURING A MINOR AND ONLINE SEXUAL CORRUPTION

Lane Co. Sheriff's Office On 5/31/26 the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received information that 37-year-old Kody Charles Eidenschink of Lowell, was communicating with a juvenile through social media, and the communication contained sexually explicit content.        Detectives located Eidenschink near his place of work in the 88000 block of W.11 th Avenue. Detectives ultimately arrested Eidenschink and served a search warrant for his personal electronic devices. Eidenschink was lodged at the Lane County Jail for the crimes of Luring a Minor and Online Sexual Corruption of a Child in the Second Degree.   The investigation is ongoing. SALEM POLICE ARREST SUSPECT FOLLOWING DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE AND FIREARMS INVESTIGATION

Salem Police Dept. SALEM, Ore. -- On June 7, 2026, officers arrested Jeffrey Boyer , 64, of Salem, following a domestic disturbance investigation at 1985 Oxford Street SE. Boyer was wanted for a prior incident involving strangulation that had been reported just hours earlier.     At approximately 6:24 a.m., officers responded to the residence and contacted Boyer, taking him into custody without incident. During the investigation, safety concerns were noted regarding several firearms at the location.     While officers investigated, multiple un-serialized rifles, short-barreled rifles, and an un-serialized suppressor were located.     Boyer was lodged at Marion County Correctional Facility including Domestic Strangulation and multiple firearms related charges including Unlawful Manufacture of a Firearm.     The investigation is ongoing, and further inquiries should be directed to the Marion County District Attorney's Office.  

JUNCTION CITY MAN SENTENCED TO FEDERAL PRISON FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL

U.S. Attorney's Office - District of Oregon EUGENE, Ore.—A Junction City, Oregon, man was sentenced to federal prison Wednesday for possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), announced U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford for the District of Oregon. Trevor Alan Slocum-Lammers, 31, was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release.   According to court documents, in August 2023 a cloud storage account associated with Slocum-Lammers uploaded CSAM. On July 30, 2024, investigators executed a search warrant and interviewed Slocum-Lammers, who admitted to possessing CSAM.   On Sept. 19, 2024, a federal grand jury in Eugene returned an indictment charging Slocum-Lammers with possession of child pornography. On Oct. 9, 2025, Slocum-Lammers pleaded guilty. The FBI investigated this case in collaboration with the Lane County Sheriff’s Office and with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations and Oregon State Police. MULTNOMAH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATING DEADLY MOTORCYCLE CRASH IN WOOD VILLAGE

Sheriff's Office MULTNOMAH COUNTY, Ore. – The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash that occurred early Friday morning.   Just before 2:45 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, the Bureau of Emergency Communications (BOEC) received a 911 call from a community member reporting a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in the 23300 block of Northeast Glisan Street.   When deputies, firefighters, and paramedics arrived, they found the motorcyclist unresponsive on the ground with critical injuries. Paramedics took the rider to the hospital, where they later died.   Based on the preliminary investigation, the motorcyclist crashed into the back of a vehicle. Medford Police Department  On Thursday afternoon, the Medford Police Department, in coordination with Jackson County Mental Health and the Mobile Crisis Team, responded to a residence in the 1800 block of Roxy Ann Place to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers were unable to make contact with the resident and observed a deceased cat in plain view within the residence. Based on those observations and information gathered during the initial investigation, a search warrant was obtained. Officers later located and contacted the resident prior to the execution of the warrant, which was subsequently served at the property. As the investigation developed, the Medford Police Livability Team, Code Enforcement, and Jackson County Animal Control responded to assist. Welfare check in City of Estacada leads to fentanyl cleanup

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office  Just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, deputies assigned to the City of Estacada responded to a welfare check at the Estacada Village Apartments after reports of a man passed out in the driver’s seat of a white Ford F-150 parked in a handicapped space. Deputies arrived and contacted the driver, who appeared disoriented. A broken glass pipe was visible on the seat. Deputies also observed an unknown powdery substance covering the man’s shoes, along with powder spread across the truck’s floorboard and center console. Investigators believe the man may have attempted to destroy drug evidence by spreading it throughout the vehicle using his feet. Deputies helped the man out of the truck and placed him in handcuffs. Powdery footprints were left behind as he was escorted away from the vehicle. The man identified himself as 44-year-old Brandon Gregory Randall of Estacada. Oregon State Police SALEM, Ore. (3 June 2026) – Paws up for OSP’s newest K-9 recruit. The one-year-old red Labrador Retriever is currently training to join K-9 Scout and K-9 Drake to help protect Oregon’s natural resources as part of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation K-9 program. While we’ll always call him “Good Dog,” he’s ready for a new, official name.   OSP is inviting Oregon youth ages 9-17 to help name the new dog.
